Hi guys. Need to double-check something. The candies, Hard Candy, Caramel and Taffy, used to give a visible mood boost for me in earlier versions of VG but they don't right now for me. Is this something that is no longer visible in the mood buffs list or is it some of my other mods screwing it up? ^^

Worth mentioning, I'm not running the latest release of VG, it is atleast a month or two old so if it something that was fixed within that span of time, let me know and I'll just update and hope save stays right ^^

So, I just found these mods. Laser doesn't seem to have issues when activating the mod, but the gauss mod gives me some issues. Below I've included a pastebin with the errors. It appears to be issues with the sounds, not finding files that are present in the locations stated. Not sure how I should go about fixing this. Ooh and this is with just activating the mod with core, nothing else.

Thanks in advance for any help ^^

Never mind. After some thinking I figured it out. Based on the name of the files, I'm guessing they are for Xen's Ronon Dex Gun. Sound files kinda match that as well. And they are not used in the Gauss mod is my guess. All of the gauss guns worked and made sounds so yeah ^^ Shouldn't be an issue.

EDIT: Okay, so the mod is messing with me. Loads of complaints with my other mods now. I guess I'll have to live without the gauss weaponry for this playthrough and then later on figure out what the issue is.

Help / Fresh into the modding scene.

Hi Peeps.

I've been looking around a lot the past few days on the know-how and how-to's with modding. So after getting a hold of the different tools, I've started considering if there are any good packages for the various programs that people are using to help mod. I did a search on the forum and didn't really come up with any good info about it.

I plan on using the following programs, mainly going off of what I've seen being recommended.
- Mainly GitHubs Atom for XML files, or if it is insufficient then Sublime.
- Xamarin Studio (Monodevelop) for C#
- ILSpy for decompiling.
- Gimp for Art and Audacity for sounds.

As I am not a programmer normally and completely new to both XML and C#, I don't really know if there are any better packages for XML highlighting or other tools that help out in the process. So, if you have any tools for any of the above or if I've missed any program you guys think are really good, please share.

Just started playing again after a long hiatus and was curious about garden soil and plowed soil. Plowed Soil is supposed to double growing times, according to the mod description at the start of this forum post, but when I use it in-game it gives a soil of 160% and not 200% as I would assume.
Is this an intentional change, bug or does the growth time from soil effiency work differently than I've assumed?

As some have said, this is the sweetest mod for rimworld, by far ^^

I've changed it :) and not updated the text.

Good to know ^^ So Plowed Soil is slightly less OP ^^ Keep up the good work dismar
