It has happened twice now in my current playthrough that relationships between pawns suddenly disappear completely. The first were a pair of half-sisters, colony born children who suddenly became acquaintances.
Now it happened to two of my starter pawns, brothers. They turned to acquaintance now. With that one of them now also has no relationship with his nephews.

Especially with Biotech and the introduction of having children this is a real bummer and an issue that has been around for some time as I found.

The pawns had relatives in other factions who are also gone now. Could this be the reason why their own relationship got culled, too?
And is there a solution?

Is that even possible anymore? I liked having the option who got psychic powers and who does not. Now the ceremony simply gives them title plus psylink without a choice. Or am I just missing something?

You should be able to perform a ritual at the tree to upgrade your psycast level when enough anima grass has grown around it.

Yes, I know. I just didn't want to do it before making sure it probably won't spawn on the old map.

EDIT: And it spawned right now by itself. Took like 8-10 days. :)

Everything else seems to work fine after the update on my old save, but I have no anima tree spawning on my (rainforest) map. Does it take some time or is it just bugged out on my save?

When I started the colony I got concerts rather often. Now after a few years in and several updates later I literally get none.
My three nobles practice rather often on their instruments, they give speeches so often I tend to stop them every now and then, but concerts...not a single one in years.
Are they still ingame? I really liked that feature and wonder what happened.

To me nobles seemed very well balanced at the start. You had to plan who to make royal and to what extent to still make use of their skills. I was also completely fine with the count/ess to hardly do anything. Back then I stopped at baroness to still have options for her use and planned the last tier only if I wanted to do the "Royal Ascent" quest.
The last change with the barons' and counts' restrictions seemed reasonable and allowed me to take the last step without any more drawbacks. I was fine with that even though noble ranks lost a little bit of exclusiveness for me.
Now I don't see any reason not to promote all nobles to highest tier (except for throne rooms maybe) or really plan who to pick in the first place since they can still do all the work.
To me this feels like a huge drop of challenge, personal investment in the planning and simply like a plain ugrade of already powerful pawns. (I use psy powers a lot in combat and often let the Empire squads handle the dirty work.)

Wild animals can as far as I know only open doors that preexisted on the map as in the new ruins. This can be prevented by simply claiming the door. Could this be the case?

Embark has some similarities to Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress. It is still in development though.
