But how could a mass infantry charge against a prepared defensive position backed by modern artillery possibly fail?  It just doesn't make sense.

Clearly they tribes just need to send MORE men.  Preferably enough so that you reach your pre-set kill limit and shut down.

15-tile bedrooms it is.  Ain't no way I'm spending 30+ tiles of floor-space just to get to the next increment.

I'm changing the blight in vanilla to bright orange to make it trivially easy to see.

Difficulty in seeing the damn thing was never supposed to be a gameplay mechanic (it never is in RimWorld!)
As I recall, Bright Orange still looks pretty similar to Green to color-blind people.  The whole red/orange/yellow/green spectrum just looks like different shades of the same color.

Magenta has some blue in it, so is a good choice, and is also Green's inverse color.

My standard 11x11 building footprint can be easily subdivided into Six 3x5 rooms.

The stockpile configuration menu is a little stupid that way.  Material selection occurs in parallel with item selection, but only for weapons/armor, and when you "clear all", it disables both smeltable and non-smeltable.

Did you know that Grenades are non-smeltable?

Now that's an interesting angle I'd forgotten to consider.  I think I remember seeing some topics asking whether multiple colonies affected population caps, but I don't remember the answer.

Angry Muffalo herds are dangerous if you don't have a lot of firepower.  It's tempting to try to shoot them, but you're better off hiding indoors with your best constructor repairing the door as the Muffalo repeatedly ram it.  Eventually they will get bored and go away.  The trampled colonist locked outside will still die of infection though, but Manhunters usually calm down before you starve to death.

Were these antimatter shells?

The prisoners hadn't already bottomed-out at 99% difficulty, had they?

As far as how pop limits affect the game, my understanding was that it would reduce or eliminate "New Pawn" events, but would not go out of its way to try to "cull your flock".  Then again, I haven't looked into the details as deeply as it seems like you are.

If you want to be really lazy an inefficient, you can also just switch all of the affected fields to grow a blight-immune crop and then switch back when the blight is gone.

But really that was just my "strategy" before I realized that I should have
Quote from: Shurp on January 10, 2018, 07:26:13 AMSet growing to 2.
Set plant cutting to 1.

Planting roses was just to prevent the blight from spreading again to the new plants if Growing was a higher priority than Plant Cutting.

Wait, what..?!  Which is it?
I apologize.  I meant "Things that explode in the Rain explode in the Snow too".

This thread covers the min/max for nutrient paste dispensing.

Hans Lemurson's method is the quickest way to spam nutrient paste meals.
I have now wikified said method: http://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Nutrient_paste_dispenser#Large-Scale_Paste_Production

That makes sense.  Maybe some light scarring on the torso, then?
