The problem is even when that person does not see any obvious consequences (such as getting a virus along with the pirated game and has to now spend hundreds to clean up his computer or gets caught and sued or jailed) he still will get subtle consequences, usually in the form of some obscure self-punishement as the person is basically good, but doing something on some level he knows is bad, but does it anyways, so on some level feels the need to punish himself. So he gets a virus ends up on his computer because he clicked a link in a spam email "by accident", he gets sick a lot, or has a lot of "bad luck" and so on.
Wat?

Honestly, piracy is fairly safe as long as you don't go to unscrupulous sources and know what you're doing. Sure, there are those who do it for self-gain, but the majority of the hardcore cracking/piracy community does it simply to say "F**k you" to companies such as EA, Denuvo etc.

It's not as safe as buying the game though, that I'll admit.

@Ignoral:  We agree that piracy is not theft, but justifications for it also fall pretty flat; programmers have rent and food bills too.  While I easily COULD pirate RimWorld and I certainly have pirated AAA games in the past, I've damn well refrained from doing so for any indie games.  Screwing over EA is one matter, a small group of programmers is quite another.

I don't think doing so in an offhand manner, simply because you want w/e game or whatnot, is any less destructive; do you?
I completely agree, in the case of somebody pirating a game just to play it, without any thought of ever buying the game.

I don't, however, believe that piracy is black and white. You can watch as many trailers/letsplays etc as you want, but you'll never really know whether or not you will truly enjoy a game until you've tried it. If you cannot afford a game but plan to purchase it in the future when you have the necessary spare cash, then why not enjoy the game? Either way, you haven't affected the developer if you weren't already a potential sale. Perhaps you could even potentially affect the developer positively by recommending it to others.

My opinion? Bring back demos.

You can craft the light receptor on a simple prosthetics workbench.

In the future questions about mods should generally be posted in that specific mods thread.

Aw man, I never thought about taming animals just to keep them wild. I know what I'm doing next...

Countries with boarders who expand and contract their empires through conquest.
Civworld. Let me send out a construction pawn to build roads between my colonies!

Its all nice and games when you sit in your throne and judge people from a position of someone who can afford to buy stuff. But you ignore one thing - people who have no option to don't care what your opinion is. They will pirate it.

you have an option...don't play it.  you can't buy it, you can't play it.

Rimworld is the most expensive game i've bought in the past 3 years, because i can't afford to buy big name stuff.  Humble bundle, the free online games, or just non-computer recreation has to fill the rest of the time.  It's still theft, no matter your justification.

Is it really theft though? When a game is pirated nobody really loses out, nobody lost their copy of the game. Somebody pirating your game and not playing it at all are two very different things. I'm not in the least bit ashamed to say I pirated the game prior to buying it, I suggested it to several friends who also went on to pirate and then buy the game, I will admit some didn't buy the game at all and continue to pirate it, but for the most part they simply can't afford to buy it.

If I pirate your game and don't buy it, I most likely didn't play it for more than a couple hours anyway and I definitely would not have spent money on it in the first place.

It's a tricky topic no doubt but as said by theapolaustic1, if I hadn't pirated the game then my friends and I wouldn't have bought the game.

Small issue with SFS. When you recruit a colonist they keep the prisoner tag instead of defaulting to colonist, it's a small issue but it would be nice if prisoners once recruited got default colonist. Playing with a large colony it can sometimes be a little annoying to manually go through and switch everyone.

I can confirm it is an issue with Birds and Bees after starting a new test game with only Birds and the Bees enabled.

In this new game, I could fix it via debug, which I can't do in my current game.

I got an item cache located at X message, one of the items included was a gun complex, however, it's just the heavy machine gun from the complex and not the entire item itself. I can't place it so it's currently just taking up storage space.

If you're up for modding your game then Priority Treatment does exactly what you're looking for, and can be added in mid-save without any issues.

Yeah, the bionic weewees are added by Birds and Bees afaik.

I also tried to use the debug menu to re-add the body part but it doesn't show up under restore body part.
The only mods I'm using that effect surgery are EPOE, Remove Everything and Quality Surgeon, in case there are any conflicts there.

Edit: I can't be sure but I may also have added this mod during a current save if that could be an issue. I also tried disabling the mods I mentioned above and still had the same issue.

I tried disabling Birds and Bees but that made my neutered colonists invisible without the ability to interact with anything.

Having an issue with installing bionic reproductive organs on my colonists, I bought the robot winkies from another settlement and when I go into the operations menu there's no option to install them, it's the same for both of my eunuchs.

The -25 modifier is killing me.  ::)
