General Discussion / Multiple Bases
September 26, 2018, 01:49:58 PM
Good afternoon my dudes.

I am currently playing randy on the second most difficult setting.

My colony is doing great. I've made my money with crops. I have 10 pawns.

I've run out of metal resources on my map and plan on expanding out to take over a second tile.

I have done this in the past, loaded up my mules with supplies and traveled 2-3 tiles over where there's lots to mine.

It never seems to work out according to plan. Something really bad almost always happen! haha.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how far out I should go or tips on the best way to transport items from one base to another? Metal is heavy!

It doesn't seem like there's as much steel slag on the map as there used to be- so it seems like a move is imminent.

I am mid game.

Thanks!

Mods / Mod Request: LEADERSHIP
December 17, 2017, 08:08:21 PM
Hey guys, loved the alpha leadership mod. I think it'd be huge to have access to it in Beta too.

It adds a lot more depth to the RPG part of the game.

Thanks!

Unfinished / Beta 18 Leadership Mod?
December 16, 2017, 01:14:34 PM
The leadership mod was one of my favorites and really adds a lot of depth to a colony.

If anyone has a version that's compatible with the beta, please post it.

Thank you!

Hey guys, I popped up a few weeks ago to talk about my first attack on a computer base.

To keep a long story short, I played out an "intense" difficulty classic 3 man party, survived, built up a 14 man group and was more advanced technologically than my computerized enemies.

At one point, it seemed like the attacks on my base completely stopped. 0 attacks for 2-3 years. This only allowed me to get stronger, up to the point where I laid down my own attack. The rewards of taking down a tribe that is less technologically advanced than my own were nill- making me feel like it was just a waste of time preparing and moving my troops.

I attacked a second base, the strongest computer enemy I could find, wrecked them and came away with some food and a couple batteries.

I have stopped playing because I don't want to mindlessly grind my way up to having all of the materials I need to build a space ship without any challenge.

Bug? Am I too good (highly doubt it!).

Thanks

It's been a long time coming for these people of The Tree.

Their tribe of savages relentlessly attacked my peaceful village for years and eventually killed my second in charge and most loved colonist in a freak accident headshot with a long bow.

I made it my goal (about a week ago in rl time, probably a few years IG) to find this tribes base and eradicate their entire civilization before they can do more harm to mine.

Their closest base was very far from mine. I launched 3 settlers the furthest I could be launched towards them which is about 6 tiles away (a days walk when the weather is nice, 3 days + in the winter). My second base is almost as nice as my first base now.

I scouted out the colony i'd be attacking and set up a very small base 2 tiles away so I could have an escape plan.

The base is multiple wooden buildings in a square shape and it's surrounded by tons of layered sand bags for relatively solid cover.

There were approximately 20 settlers armed with bows.

The buildings look like they're filled with loot- so I don't want to burn them down.

Their base is in the middle of their map and i'll be approaching from the top right corner, with a small square building that is just missing a door. I plan on using that as on site protection and using a mortar to cause as much outside damage as I can.

Will they rush me? I'll be outnumbered probably 2:1 or 2.5:1 with approximately 6-8 heavily armed soldiers against 20-25 tribes people.

Any strategy I can take to make this a flawless victory would be greatly appreciated.

Am I able to take prisoners?

Thanks

General Discussion / Get Rich or Die Tryin'

Hey guys- first post ever.

I love this game. It fulfills my love for survival, strategy, city building and RPG gameplay.

What's the best way to make a ton of money these days? It seems as if they leveled off smokeleaf and flake.
