On mobil, but i have to add something.

I clock my gametime via steam but played it before so...some hours are missing.
I played Rimworld over 800hours. In terms of time, i played it the most.

I cannot see the great problem of replayability. Ludeon had done a great job with this. Even with normal start, tribal start and rich guy start there are interisting other ways for new storys.

Main Point: replayability is not for everyone a problem.

I'm with you on this view Lowkey1987. You can play this game over and over.

(I sorry if this is me being pedantic but I just want my garden beds to look like how my grandfather used to have his with nice neat brick edging)

I think cuproPanda's "ZenGarden" is the mod you are looking for.

Sexy, thanks.

@Vlad0mi3r, with regards to the cataracts, I think it's reasonable that you need to install bionic eyes in order to fix that, and I think Tynan would agree. It's possible to offer natural repairs and cures for pretty much everything, but I feel that it would take away a lot of the bionics gameplay that is so integral to Rimworld.

How about Harvesting eyes then? if we can cut out someone's liver and reuse it how about eyes? Of course you get the debuff of we harvested some organs but that's the price you pay.

This is true no packing for Thrumbos. They are not even good haulers always stopping to eat trees and crops you have planted. worse than Elephants.

Just unassign their beds and see how things go from there. Let them choose.

No I'm sure he's been healed like 100% sure just as my grandmother and father were healed. A cataract is a growth that covers the eye no need to implant a new lenses just remove the cataract.

Yes I could implant Bionic eyes but that's not really a solutions if the individual is a prostophobe now is it?

Would it be possible to have an option with the brick floors where when placed next to dirt it has the hard edge that comes with placing it next to a wall or smoothed stone floors?

The reason I am asking is my rose gardens have the sloppy brick edging and I would like it to be nice and neat like you would if you were putting in a garden bed.

Or have a garden bed soil type in terraforming that allows the edging to be nice and neat.

(I sorry if this is me being pedantic but I just want my garden beds to look like how my grandfather used to have his with nice neat brick edging)

Please and thankyou as well  :)

Can we please have an option to remove cataracts. My father in law had his removed the other day so I think it is a viable option for surgery.

Ok have been using this mod for a while now and I have come up with a suggestion/Idea.

Two levels of repair kit.

One for simple repairs one for advanced repairs. The simple repair kit should be the same as the repair kit we have now the advanced repair kits should use Plasteel and Devilstrand as the ingredients (with the icon on the kit being red instead of blue). I think that this would make this mod have more of a vanilla feel to it. If you want to repair advanced things like shield belts, powered armour and weapons you are going to need top shelf ingredients to do that. I admit its to easy and cheep at the moment.

I would also suggest additional research in order to be able to conduct advanced repairs.

P.S I still love this mod.

All that just adds to the miracle of keeping 2 Thrumbos alive long enough to make a baby!  I wonder though how many wild thrumbos died on the map before this baby was born.  Is your colony "Net Thrumbo Positive"?

No I have to admit the Thrumbos are a bit like Bothans many died to get to this situation. Well to be specific 4 were lost so still at -3 and as he is a he, it will be taking even longer to balance the loss.

I don't agree with any of the options you have given and I think that the soft population cap with Randy Random really gives you the option to keep on expanding if you want.

I think that when you are given the colonists who are problematic it gives you the chance to come up with methods for dealing with those quirks. I have one in my colony at the moment who has the creepy breathing trait. -25 for interactions with him, much worse than ugly or disfigured. I found the best thing for him was cleaning duties where for the most part he was working alone. Shared tasks like growing where you have lots of colonists in the same space was leading o lots of social fights. So he is best kept as separate as possible I am considering adjusting his social/joy time to keep him more isolated.

So to summarise these "special" colonists are all just part of the colour and fun that is Rimworld.

Ideas / Re: World specific event probabilities
August 22, 2017, 12:16:14 PM
While I agree that yes if you play a colony long enough you should experience all the events that are available.

My feelings though is that gameplay or the ability to replay the game comes from learning from your mistakes from the past and developing strategies to deal with them.

As an example one thing that I have noticed playing with Randy Random on Rough is once you have researched mortars you had best be ready to build one and get some shells ready because a siege raid is not far off. There are a lot of different examples of learning what the game will throw at you and coming up with your own methods to deal with them. I know there are players out there who use snipers to deal with siege raids but I don't generally have any luck doing that.

Play it fail at it. Play it again forget something simple, fail at it. Play it again and again. Then "mod it until it breaks" I think I read that somewhere.  :)

I thought it would be interesting if we could share those moments when your best laid plans fall apart and your frustration levels rise. Not a whinge session but more of a if I told you, you would not believe me. So try to include some pictures as evidence.

I will get us started.
The caravan is planned out, the away team have their powered armour on and they all look keen to get out there. So I click on the form caravan button. The usual madness of putting everything together, animals gathered, food and items to sell stuffed onto the pack muffalos.
Hang on where is Steven? good old Steven has decided that everyone else can do the hard yards he is off to binge on smoke leaf joints. Steven is caught out and everyone else on caravan duties refuses to do anything until Steven is over his binge. Steven sucks down three joints and then decides he is good to go. Everyone else jumps to and starts loading up again, Steven actually wanders off and has a lay down on the floor of his room. Good work Steven.

Right, everyone else has got the caravan loaded and are heading off to the edge of the map. Steven has the munchies and so decides to swing past the kitchen and have a bite to eat. Steven is one of the cooks and has probably prepared the meal he just ate which has given him food poisoning. So stoned off his gourd and throwing up in his powered helmet he staggers towards the edge of the map where everyone including the new baby boy muffallo is wandering around waiting.

So far its been funny a little annoying but mostly funny like a joke that runs on a bit much. Then good old Randy Random stops laughing, like dead pan stops laughing. I have seen that expression on his face before. It means panthers he always shafts me with panthers. RED ALERT man hunter pack of panthers. Ok where have they come in I think to myself. Right on top of the waiting caravan crew no less.

At this point my wife said to me "That game really frustrates you at times doesn't it?" my reply was not very PG. Needless to say I held the 19 panther manhunter pack at the killbox and with 3 colonists left uninjured.

Share your tales of when the wheels fell off and things fell apart.
