My opinion is that there are still too many types of leather, since several are almost the same and should be combined into one.

I got some errors with Prepare Landing while trying to load today.  Do I need to switch out of the unstable release on Steam?

If you are on Steam, the Stack XXL update is right there in the Workshop.  Otherwise, use the above suggestion to find it.  :)

Gifting excess to traders who will accept it.  I don't see that as cheesing it.  Perhaps also the drop pod gifting when you have that researched and built.

In my games I just make an effort to not mine or gather food excessively, or anything else that can be worth too much - no large amounts of clothes or blocks or wood or metals or anything else that I can limit.

Yes, there are always those 5 factions now, no matter how many times you reroll.  :)

I only raise the two friendly factions and leave the other two alone.  Those hostile ones are too much trouble until very late in the game.

I haven't had any problem with installing conduit in the corners lately.  And, no, the corner tile stays smoothed.
