Ello all,
Recently iv ran in to major trouble which results in the end of my colonys.
2+ years in and i always get assaulted by 4/5 caterpillars and 2 sythers.
no matter what defences i put down they always just smash it and its getting to the point where i dont enjoy it. I can kill the sythers easy with close range turrets, but main problem is the cats and their incendiary weapons.


I have tried the "round the corner" turret tatic and this does work for the sythers,  but the cats are just to strong.

Whats the best way to combat these guys? im not talking about the ancient parts but the immidiate drops.

Sadly due to this i allow many surviors to starve to death to avoid negative relations :(

I usually keep 1 freezer running at -10. Usually that is enough to get through solar flares. As long as the temp goes back down to freezing before the food goes bad it will never go off.

Does any one know if steel is a better insulator then wood in rimworld?

Might be due to resolution.
try and set your resolution to reccomended for your machine and see if that has any effect

Booze could also be used for cleaning wounds, but also cause pain.
Can also be used as a pain killer :P

This is kind of what mechs do. They will seek out any turrets before going after colonists.
However in my case i had one or 2 just trawl though my base for a turret at the other side...ignoring my colonists

Ello all,
Right now i have a very messy blood splattered settlement.
Because my colonists are always busy and doing tasks i set them , they very rarely clean at all.

What would be nice is the ability to set an area for them to clean. Much like they do with hauling where you can just drag over an area. It saves having to do right click, clean here. or setting one colonist just to clean.

Stomach - if destroyed the colonist can eat but their hunger never refills
Jaw - If destroyed that can not eat
Kidneys - Can be harvisted from prisoners or air droped in. But iv never noticed any ill effects from 1 kidney. Normal humans can live with just one

Your colonists will automatically repair stuff when they are free
