I would like to see a juvenile animal in the wild. With the rework wilderness system which change their wilderness value to be consistenly with their aged. For example, a newborn animal should be easy to train or tame than juvenile or adult. That's mean newborn animal should have less wilderness for them to be easy to tame or train. The same goes for juvenile animal. For adult animal, I think increasing their wilderness value further for them is acceptable for balancing reason.

Another balance I see fit is to make juvenile or newborn animal in the wild stick with its parent. Their parent should be turn manhunter more easily if we try to hunt or tame their baby.

It may sound evil but we need to kill the bear first to get its cub, right?  :'(

The bug is occur when you try to taming animal, training animal or recruit prisoner on the corner edge of the building or any workbench. I'll try to explain in detail...

Animal process of Taming  and Training
1. Walk and talk to animal --> 2. Walk and talk to animal again --> 3. Feed animal --> 4. Feed animal again

The bug will occur at step 4 if the colonist tamer/trainer and animal happen to be on the corner of the building. The food use to taming/training will be loss and the taming/training will be end without result (nether fail nor success). It is also count as process finish so you can't repeat the whole process again until the next day too.

The standing spot of step 4 for the bug to occur is look like this.

For Prisoner recruit process is just walk and build rappel with them 6 times. The bug is the same, on the 6th attempt, if the warden and prisoner is happen to be on the corner of the building. The process will end without result just like the taming/training above.

Not sure if someone already report this yet, I'm not familiar with this forum search method.

General Discussion / Can animal rescue other animal too?
September 02, 2017, 01:15:01 PM
I know that rescue training animal can rescue colonist. Lately, with a prosperous base, not many colonist down anymore. Except for those animal which seem to down from time to time.

I got 30 chickens 20 muffalos and 20 wild boar. On the sunny day, muffalo and chicken will be send out to graze while the boar help in hauling. Those that are not reach adult stage are confine in the barn because they're eat too little per fill which not worth a spring priceless grass.

The problem is the raid and the predator. Predator is still ok because they'll go after one chicken a time which can reproducing fast. The raider is a real pain for grazing animal. Even if I change all of animal area to barn. Some of them will still wandering awhile before realize that they need to run.

So, after every raid, around 5 animals or more seem to down. With only 2 doctors and too many wound on each animals. 1-2 out of 5 animal always die because the doctor waste a lot of time carry animal to the barn (not to mention the nuzzle disturb the treatment process... but is rarely, still annoying).

sorry for spouting nonsense for 4 paragraphs
TL;DR Can animal rescue other animal too? If yes, it'll worth a lot for my colonist
