Ideas / Two things.

For cremation, it would be best if we can set it to not cremate fresh animals.  My hunter brings in fresh game and before it can be butchered it gets tossed in the incinerator.  a dont burn fresh kills option for animals and humans would be nice.

id like to be able to see the weapon everyone has equipped in the colony overview screen.

1) A 3 or 4 wheeler the colonists can ride to gather far ranging resources better.  Two cargo slots on the back. could be fun!

2) An underground mine.  Like geothermal power in the sense that you locate a resource spot.  Only colonists need to man it like the other production items.  4 slots for colonists.  the more working on it yield the resource they are mining at a rate dependant on the combined mining skills of the colonists using it.  This avoids needing a z-level for deeper mining but also gives a reason to regularly send colonists outside.  Maybe include oil as a resource?

3) Flamethrowers.  Not the things that launch incendiaries, but just a stream of fire.  Just cuz

4) Locked doors that only allow colonists, not visitors, or even just specific colonists.

5) Hygiene pods of some sort to deal with disease and such.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Recently a screenshot of Rimword features for the finished version was posted.  Just something simple, but it was neat to see.  I get why you cant post the whole thing since lots of people would make all sorts of issues with it.  I am curious though about features that were NOT on that list but suggested by the community and later implemented or are planned to be implemented.  Minor features and tweaks might be too many to list, but I am curious if anything was suggested that were just never thought of.  Maybe list who made the suggestion.  Just so that anyone who visits can see the kind of response the game development takes to the players.  Early Access is getting a bad rep lately and Rimworld seems to be doing it right.

Ideas / Random idea for turrets

Aside from an upgrade to give them better armor or whatever or boosting the current abilities, how about being able to install the weapons you find/buy as the primary.  Sniper turrets, minigun turrets, grenade launcher turrets and so forth.

First you build the turret, but it is unarmed, or starts with a pistol.  then if you get something better you can right click it to install the weapon carried by the colonist.  But you loose everything if its blown up.  So there might be less sacrificial turret spamming.

I actually dont really think this would work, but im putting it out there as an idea in case it inspires something.

People, (colonists or visitors) have wallets.  They buy things like meals (better meals cost more), weapons, clothing, materials and furniture for their rooms.  Then they get paid for building, mining, researching, fighting and so on.  They could pay money to buy materials to upgrade their sleeping spot with a wooden bed and so forth.  Add decorations or whatever. 

Building the colony itself would cost money, you lay down the plans, they build things, and then collect silver from your stockpile.  The initial landing when you might not be able to pay people, would balance with the new colony boost they start with. 

Visitors would come, pay for food and room.  Or even work building things for you.  Plus you could hire the visitors to join your colony.  This would open the door too things like a casino! (I'm thinking of Dungeon Keeper here)

Like i said, might not work, but if a system thats not too complex could be figured out then it might add an interesting layer of fun.
