I feel like a melee block stat should be added to RimWorld, for more variety in the Combat Logs (for those that like to read them, which includes me) and a secondary way for pawns to defend themselves in combat. Dodging emphasizes moving while blocking would emphasize manipulation, this lets melee pawns that were shot in the leg still have a way to avoid damage in a fight.
This would probably need balancing, so an idea to balance it could be only using the stat that has the highest %, and if one % becomes at all lower than the other, switch it out. Or maybe make a formula that combines both percentages in some way and also takes into account what health the pawn's limbs are and the Moving and Manipulation stats, which then determines what defense maneuver is used, if one is used at all. (This would probably take way too much effort)
