Ideas / Re: A Better Ending of the Game

I think the coolest ending would be an option to land on new planet with old team (new game with colonists from old game). This would be even more coolest if our colonists will can be pirates after this.

That would be epic!  A whole new pirate gamemode unlocked by beating the game.

Use Melee weapons.  Squirrels are generally too fast to shoot w/ a single colonist.

You made many good points, however you should read this first next time.

Ideas / Re: Tone down centipedes?

My original Wafflebox (term coined by Vexare) design can take 8-10 centipedes straight to the face and not let a single shot be fired by the foes, after that number of mechs sandbag damage becomes a serious issue.  The expanded version however can handle 15+.

Make dead animals not be forbidden by default. It's frankly quite useless and dumb, and unless you live in a cold place, ends up with many rotting animal carcasses and bones littering the map making places ugly and your colonists unhappy.

I get dead raiders and their things, mechanoids, etc being forbidden on death. It prevents idiots trying to haul in dead pirates in the middle of a firefight, or having really ugly corpses hauled in to your base when you don't have a way of corpse disposal just yet.
But having dead animals get forbidden is really useless, and rather annoying.

I second these.  Far too many times I have lost colonists due to them running out to pick up mechanoid metal before being systematically butchered by the mechanical foes.

That's a good idea and maybe it is something the developer Tynan mean to do later, but since this is purely 'content' I think he will work on other game mechanic first before fleshing out the game.

I like the idea because I'm in favor of the game having multiple ending, including through distinct choice over the use of components.

I agree with this , especially the multiple endings part.  It might encourage long time players to push for an actual ending, instead of getting bored with launching ship after ship to the same result.

I'm also on a 1024x600 netbook. I can understand why you wouldn't intend to support this resolution, but unless I missed something it doesn't appear you list minimum system requirements anywhere on the game's page. I'll have to think about whether I want a refund.

PS: Yeah, there might be 1080 phones, but if I were in the market for one of those, I wouldn't have been in the market for a game as modest as Rimworld to begin with.

As modest?  I am a skilled salesman of human leather, and fine human leather goods.
Your modesty has no power over me.

There were even others before, in bundled suggestions or thrown in random comments. But i think we should focus on the ideas that have their own threads.

Agreed, for a suggestion to be listed it should require a topic or more on it's subject.

Another raid improvement to work along side suggestion 2 could be formations, where raiders would form a phalanx of sorts with shield melees in front, and ranged units at the back, advancing as a single unit.  Very hard to code though.

^  Yes they will think logically, just like those colonists who hunt from maximum distance, or those colonists whom wall themselves into corners or caves.
