i'd like a panel at the bottom left that when opened up has order options, such as shut down all mechs, harvest all berries, hunt all 'animal type' haul all steel etc
Really i'm just interested in the ability to click mass shutdown of mechs :D

Mods / is there a mod to reduce clothing degradation? :)

I find the vests and helmets degrade, a little quickly, i'd understand if we were in  a fight. the clothing isn't to bad but i figure one goes with the other, anything out there that can do this for me?

I know that in the following updates construction has been changed, new over repair is great, unsure wether this 'issue' persists:

An example of the situation: i have 4 rows of 5 stools that need to be built asap, i assign one constructor to do a row of 5 the next the next 5 and so on, 4 builders doing 5 each, but it doesn't work that way, they'll slap any old wood where they feel like, take over the previous guys jobs, put some wood down where the next guy was supposed to n then they all bugger off leaving one guy to place a few stools, if i wanted one guy to do them 'all' i would have said to the one guy, do them all, instead i get a hodge podge mess...

Another example: i told one constructor to build a trap on one side of a wall, on the other side of said wall happens to be a piece of floor requiring wood, instead of doing his told job, he drops a few pieces of wood at the trap, proceeds to walk around my entire base and drops several peices for that floor piece...

The trap never gets made, and we all die a horrific death, lol

I understand the time saving when the game says i need to do this but i have space for those others around me,clever, but not when it conflicts with my direct orders. :)

I don't have the save file available to upload, was late last night, i was hmm do they always have a label on wild,.. today i looked, nope, they don't, at least not in B18..
...

EDIT: Wait!... i heard that your animals can turn on you via hunger, he was attacking.. maybe that is the reason

i have a few turrets surrounded by sand bags, was wondering if it would be worth making a grow zone for trees in front of the turrets? 
I gather the game looks at LOS, is a row of trees worth it, or if it's gone that far the tree isn't going to do much? :)
I wouldn't think the trees would reduce the turrets ability to shoot that much though..

i cut and pasted the entire text rather than trying to write it all down.
I told my pawn to use the mortar, it stated no shells in the area, (forgot to make more, but have incendiary, allocated to the same stock pile) so i went into the mortar and said use incendiary and this came up:

Requires chem fuel, cloth, wood and steel, different things can change the colour, like, jade, gold, silver, plasteel..

Don't get me wrong, this game has ALOT going for it and there is alot ot build..
close to one of my favourite games of all time

But when it comes to building a base, there is:
1 A bed room,
2 A kitchen/dining
3 A freezer
4 A medical area
5 A games room
6 A work area
possibly Throw in a grow room
and square up some storage
You build 6 things and your done heh, i know you could say i am downplaying it..
but, those are the basics
I have alll this space and no use for it :/
Call me greedy .. lol
I want a shooting range with melee dummies :D
possibly a work out room
you could say bathrooms etc (but water associated is a big ask, i mean , bathroom, then mood as dirty, then well their dirty so should clothes be dirty, dirty cloth so laundry, then well they're thirsty, then you've got this massive coding of water associated stuff, pipes, sewerage, pumps, water storage.. possibly also too prison architecty perhaps... )

Again, don't get me wrong, i love this game, so much to do, it's just i have built what there is to build and i have a large amount of space left to play with :)

This is my base, and, i am proud of it... :
i just... have all this extra space with the need to fill it :)

If you ask me both of those ships are a cake walk.
One drops, i waltz up with my 15 pawns and their 20 animals, circle it, hit it once and when 'they' pop out i pause select 1-2-3 to each scyther or centipede,  2 minutes later i walk away with a few bruises...
My pawns have no melee weapons, just fists and maybe a couple have guns, just melee n walk away..

I like that i can clean the floor with them so easily, but... should i be able to heh :/ :D
(I can take on 6 scythers n 4 centipedes or so with ease so far)
perhaps increase their melee dps? i should fear them coming for me
Also, my ppl have no armor on bar 1 or 2

Hey ppl :)

Are there templates for mods?
I found one guy with a workbench template, but apart form that, nothing
Was looking for a way to implement my own furniture, without having to code from a-z, i checked out the rimworld wiki on modding, they use 'defendthatcolony' so i downloaded the mod itself to try and compare, but i see no way to add say, the sound wood makes when you craft with it

Would love to see a fully coded furniture mod with text like add this or this  'here'  :P :D

I'd like to see a fruit/veggie that grows beyond it's zone like the Daylily supposedly does, would it be considered an exploit to plant one and it expand? it still gets effected by the weather..

..I have a base that is little more than a way point for trade, well defended as little wealth as possible and surrounded by turrets, powered by 2 thermals, with a coupla muffalo inside the double walls, i'd love to be able to plant a crop and not have it always rot due to not being harvested.

Make the pumpkin/melon/vine style plant have slow growth and takes a long time to harvest, reduced movement speed.. 'overgrown'

Have the pumpkin rot but not the vine

Show me! the ..pumpkin! :D

I can't say i have really had a problem with traders traipsing through my house, they entered the dining rooms but that's about it, until today, had a trader and all his buddies decide my freezer was a great place to pace back n forth.
My airlock, freezer and butcher doors have been open to the elements as muffalo's decided the door jam was a great spot to 'sit' as i watch as my food stocks  rot :P :/

I'd say they should respect the forbidden door rule, but then ppl can lock traders in rooms as an exploit.. :/

I'm not sure if it is a bug or not, we entered a lump of precious resources, found more pirates than we could handle guarding a lump of jade.
We decide to flee the area. We can't reform as enemies are still in the area and leaving via the green strip leaves the pack animal there? :)

I find the best way to reduce mortar inaccuracy is by getting someone you don't want to be hit, to stand there.. :P  badm tss

i love toxic fallout and the volcanic winter, they're one thing that tests how well you have prepared your base.
In my opinion they should exist in the easier game versions all be it heavily watered down, my partner plays on pheobe chillax -some challenge and in both play throughs nether has happened, i don't think they are that hard to begin with :P they're good fun
give the 'some challengers' a week o' winter or toxic fallout :D :D :D
I'd like reduced time and severity not removal :)
