Ideas / Re: Procedurally Generated Biosphere

I think mods are good enough, procedurally generated creatures ala Starbound aren't that unique you just have permutations of the same parts, so at some point you've seen it all.

Depends on the geography, if there are no trees, can't grow. Then I mine/decon stoneblocks.

If there are trees, and I can grow I do just that with taters until I can start cooking.

If there are trees but I can't grow, then I get heaters and sunlamps and grow food asap after research.

For defense I usually just melee for captives that I harvest. Mental breaks are common for my colonies. Though at some point I get alcohol and smokeleaf.

Most areas have a perimeter, if some guys built a house on my land near mine I'd be miffed.

This would be fixed if there were faction zones. Multiple hexes around settlements that belong to a faction, and only go away if the settlement is takenout. As long as a zone exists it would prevent settlement.

Would be nice if these zones had higher encounter rates.

A person can also abuse enemy factions by settling next to one, blowing a hole and running off with the chems/food.

Sea Ice no, but everywhere else more or less yes.

It's easier to get prisoners than colonists.

I would have prisoners clean, cook, and craft. But then they'd be between animals, and colonists. This would be a nice mod, but main game probs too much effort too little gain?

There are prosthetics I imagine if you can handle the logistics of a jet pack or two, then a few bionics would be of no issue.

I think it would fit in more with a mod right now than a feature, drop pods kind of fill any role the jetpacks would have filled before hand, though it would be nice to have jetpacked power armor.

Is the point to have enemies use their jetpacks to circumnavigate colony defenses?

Spreadout mortars with some turrets, the lack of armor will make short work of them.

Hilary wanted a war with Russia... I think if a war starts, Donald wont be the one declaring it..
Before he leaves office withing two years we might see some political mess up with say Iran. Or an escalation in the middle east. By war I mean a situation with either Russia or India. Donald won't be the one declaring it, but his actions could tip the scales in other nations declaring it on us or our proxies in NATO defacto dragging us along too.

Trump is helping some aspects of the economy alot, but it's most likely short term.
But he's not helping for the right reasons, he's just making corrupt officials realize that if they don't clean up their act we might start nuclear war.

Personally with drop pods, the lack of armor would make the users seem less than ideal for charges like space marines.

I just imagine sneakiness would affect sight as well like if there were camoflauged units. If this is just for sleep sake it would make sense and I support, but I wonder about it's impact on the game.

Sneaking up on enemies while they sleep is usually just to set up gunners. What kind of radius do you think pawns should have if they have advanced hearing vs normal?
