Ideas / Centipedes with mortars attached to their heads

 :o HOW TERRIFYING! :o

Reason

Because players like to build a wall to keep mechanoids from out ranging the turrets.

I like that idea. They should be wrapped in swaddling clothes permanently if it is not possible to give them clothes!

Babies will not dress in clothes and therefore are loosing their little toes and fingers to frostbite. Could you think about adding baby clothes to the mod?

Can't remember to be honest. But I still need to make adults not get the debuff if in the same room as toddlers/newborns. I will be making babies do screaming fits when upset though, which will cause a debuff to anyone that hears it.

Ahh much better!!!!

According to the offical fiction primer found here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pIZyKif0bFbBWten4drrm7kfSSfvBoJPgG9-ywfN8j8/pub the mechanoids are " Autonomous intelligent robots built for domestic, industrial or military purposes. Only available to advanced cultures because such complex AI is needed to control them."

So they are not a hive and so wouldn't have a "mother". I think they would more likely be controlled by a man behind the curtain or an organization who bought them to enforce intergalactic military or government goals. Which opens up the idea that maybe you could purchase mechanoids to do your bidding which would be awesome and very expensive!

Now your scenario would be good against the bug hives, except that you would have to go under the planet exploring various cave systems to find the mother bug. This would also be awesome. I can also see where your going with this because it feels very much like XCOM.

Just downloaded it and am playing around with it! Great mod! I have a suggestion, a very minor suggestion. Is it possible to remove the shared room debuff with a positive moodlet for the mother or father to share a room with the baby.

Note the mother is a psychopath. I am not sure if this effects it.

Thanks!

Have a Barber chair so you can change the colonists hair style/color

(I want to build a colony filled entirely with people who have pink Mohawks!

Yeah I agree there. I can literally let the game run on auto pilot except that I can't have anyone hunting because they will just die. Hunting should be a passive thing that gets done, not an active thing. If the game needs my attention it should automatically put it on pause.

I like the idea that you can rescue a colonist that was kidnapped by faction X

A prison will spawn and your colonist will be sitting there... or maybe he was recruited and you will have to fight him too!

DU DUN DAHHHHH!

While this is true, don't forget that sometimes a non hungry predator will just be pissed you are trying to hunt it and go for revenge, which is a yellow notification at the moment. It really needs to be a red one, that pauses the game because you should be able to react to a combat situation.

Red notifications = Combat
Yellow notifications = Non Combat

Riddle me this batman... How do you load an elephant that weighs 280kg into a transport pod that has a limit of 150kg?

*How to make an elephant fly!

1. Link two transport pods together making the total weight capacity of the linked pods 300kg
2. Load elephant that weighs 280kg
3. Load is a success so launch the pod.

The game looks at the total weight combined while ignoring the individual weight limit of the pods therefore magically splitting the elephant between two parts and putting them back together when the elephant lands.

I would think that it is not intended because when a raid drops they don't drop with full mortars, they drop with pods containing components and steel, then build the mortars on site.

Ideas / Re: Cryosleep Casket = ultimate food freezer
January 31, 2017, 01:00:47 PM
Easy 3 step process

1. Have an animal be loaded up with meals through the caravan
2. Load animal into cryo sleep casket/launch pod
3. Ignore the pod

It should be a red notification, so that the game can pause so you can react to it.

Top 4 reasons why this needs to be changed.

1. Your pawn is set to run away, and all animals are faster than colonists.
2. Animals are great at melee and predators will outright kill a colonist once he is down.
3. This often is a response to hunting, which is usually far away from the players gaze.
4. Players usually ignore yellow notifications.

A yellow notification does not sufficiently represent the danger this event faces. You usually don't recognize that  a colonist is in danger until too late.
