Actually sure...

some sort of reaver, with sharp claws, nocturnal, highly aggressive, and is not a fan at all of the light. Perhaps make it require lighting to keep the guys from attacking. Make them burrow under ground during night (in soft soil / sand only) And evade entering areas with high light. This would require lighting along a perimeter to keep them away, and keeping soft ground covered up in vulnerable spots.

I think this could have a very interesting effect, and could make eclipses even more intense, making those hauling metals requiring armed escorts, or waiting for the sun to be up to move.

Granted, this could use more editions to the game to work (flares, better ui maybe) but it could be very interesting for gameplay.
Reminds me of dune but with a twist. I hope these are made I really do.

windruf

in the rimworlds, there is a tale.
a tale of electrical squirrel.
sometimes, when sun is covert by the moon, and a squirrel is hit by lightning, it won't die.
no. it becomes an electrical squirrel. feeding on power and destroying colonies...  ;)

electrical squirrel event miniboss.
looks like a squirrel that turns blue for about a second every 60 seconds on lvl 1 the higher the lvl the often it happens and for longer time
non aggressive
weapon mele
damage depends on lvl (for example +1 damage for 500 mwt +1 maxHP for 100 mwt)
it eats energy. the more it eats - the stronger it gets.
phase 1: it can eat only from broken power conduits
phase 2: it can break power conduits to feed from them
phase 3: it can feed from anything that uses energy without breaking it
phase 4: weapon changes from mele to ranged energy.
