Just demands to keep things going through the game or to give a little buff in the game.
For example a person wants to pray, but the floor in his bedroom is dirt/rock flooring, he now demands there be a mat for him to pray on. Some demands that colonists have in late game may be harder than others, like they demand a sculpture in there room with a high beauty, or they feel unprotected and demand more turrets to be built, the colonist will receive a small buff once completed and will not demand anything unless its urgent for a while before they demand something else.

Great idea and nicer implementation of the "high expectations" debuff, given it encourages a response.

hmmm...how about increase the negitive effects of "high expectations" but add a "demands meet" buff to counter it in such a way, "demands meet" buff + "high expations" debuf = current "high expectations".

maybe add levels of importance to the demands and tie them into the backstory
Examples:
colonists from wealthy backgrounds request more luxurious things
ones from military backgrounds request to have a weapon of a minimum quality

this really could add a lot more depth to the game

I demand my room be 9x9 squares in size with 3x thick walls of solid gold with 1 in the middle being plasteel with 3 automatic doors of solid plasteel and a gold bed with gold floors and gold plants and a fridge stocked with lavish meals and a 120 inch LED TV!
Click to see my steam. I'm a lazy modder who takes long breaks and everyone seems to hate.

Maybe, but I think with all that gold and plasteel being used on beds, floors and doors, it would have to be very late game, and I think most people would have built a ship and flown away before that was completed anyway :/ Maybe something like, my flooring is old and look ugly, is there any chance I can have this room refurbished? Or something like, this colony feels like a prison, any chance my bedrooms could increase in size? or something else for walls such as, I feel unsafe in this colony, the walls are made of wood! any chance my room could be made out of something a little more sturdy?

It sounds like a great way to also help the player, or at least give him feedback on how to improve conditions for colonists.  I wouldn't mind a colonist telling me "how about a parka, or at least a jacket?  It's cold!"
