Cost of things

Hey guys, im not sure if anyone has noticed, but weapon racks cost more than doors, and in my eyes that is not realistic at all. why make weapon racks 30 metal, when doors are 25, i only just noticed this myself, and i hope the cost of weapon racks does get reduced, cause i could make a weapon rack out of wood i got from harvesting trees lol. I love this game and will never stop playing it

Because, a weapon rack takes up two spaces whereas a door takes up one. I dunno. I personally would like a weapon rack to store more than two weapons though, rather than have a massive armory with about 100 racks all filled.

Not the reply i was after. Palandus had a better idea on why, but i still think a door would cost more in material to make than a rack to hold some weapons. The door has power running thru it, so it would have conduit. therefore more material would be used to make it.

It does not matter how much material goes into it. Doors are a necessity and a vanity and a decoration needed in huge amounts, so they are cheaper. Weapon racks are needed in small amount (or should be according to plan, anyway) and in later game, so they are more expensive. Simple as that - video game logic.

I think Galileus makes a good point.
Its a video game, things have to be balanced, in real life it may be different but in this case, it works.
