I want to clarify a few things for myself before starting unnecessary topics in the suggestions thread. I have NOT done extensive tests, so this topic might be completely irrelevant. Anyone know how incapacitated people appear on the others "radar" during a fight / shooting? For example at the moment I have the following impressions:
1. if i have 3 guys shooting at a raider at different times and the raider is incapacitated by the first guy, the other 2 guys finish their charge and still shoot at the guy on the floor.
2. if the incapacitated guy is in the line of fire between a raider and a colonist he still gets hit as if he was standing
Can you confirm this behavior?

Some other questions related to shooting:
3. let's say i have a 3x3 formation shooting at raiders. Do the guys in the back fire in the first rows on my own men or do the bullets ignore friendly fire.
4. related to the previous question: turret bullets do friendly fire?

Cheers!

From what I've seen, it appears that an incapacitated person lying on the ground is the same cover as debris or a sandbag or something. He won't always get hit, but if he's near the target there's a good chance he will, particularly if the target is behind him. I do not believe it's the same as if he's standing, but I don't know.

Perhaps someone else can clarify that for us.

As for your first point, I have found that your colonists will complete their current attack (unless the target died first), regardless of incapacitation or not. Once the current attack is finished, if the target is incapped, they will chose a new target to attack. But this means if you have three colonists attacking a raider, and he falls down on the first shot, the other two will continue their attack against him until they have finished their shots. Which means there's a good chance of killing him.

Thank you very much for your insight! I will definitely keep an eye on this and maybe give my 2 cents in the suggestions thread when I have a clear image of what is happening.

I don't think this point was answered, but yes, there is definitely friendly fire.
