Convince travellers to join

Hi,

I think it would be nice, if there was a non-violent way to convince travellers to join the colony instead of capturing them.

For example you could send someone with a high 'social'-value, some food and a medkit and simply invite others to join. If the traveller is injured, it would be an additional incentive to join the colony.

Give peace a chance  :)

So you're saying we can either offer food to a conman type colonist and he would accept the food and after a period he might just "Conman has given up hope and left the colony"?

Or we could offer food to a scientist and he might join the colony as he was starving and just wandering and legitimately stay without issue?

Or we could offer food to a brawler and he would just straight up beat the socks off the colonist that offered the food, killing the settler and just straight up leaving the map with the food ASAP?

Oh wow this would be funny as all hell. I'm for this suggestion  ;D

I Agree, this would be funny as hell "Tynan the bad magician has made your emissary dissapear!"
And then of course you have the legitimate concern of getting more people for that colony of yours instead of arresting them, which makes it somewhat easier in the long run.

I think it was mentioned in another thread that bars are gonna be a thing so you'd be able to recruit travelers instead of imprisoning them, later in development.

Maybe if your colonists happened to be holding some very large and persuasive looking firepower they might be...encouraged
