Is there any plans to develop the faction system?

The game as it stands is amazing, but the faction system just feels like something is still missing.
Not in terms of actual map presence (Ground traders saw to that) but specifically how you interact with them via the comms console.

I have an idea
I think that fraction leaders should visit colony sometimes
You could kidnap them (it would make their and every friendly fraction to them hostile) to sell them to pirates for silver.
When they visit you your colony would have big chance of getting raided by massive force of fraction that is hostile to them (pirates or tribes)
If you manage to safe leader your fraction would get relation bonus and temporary caravans from that fraction would go more often to your colony to trade things.

Faction leaders DO in fact visit the colony, from time to time. Check when you got traders or visitors. They have good stats, great gear, and are usually past their 50s.

But that do not make them that special. I want to have special event with them and I want to see when they are visiting. Just image that Colonists organized special party for leader and in the meantime
pirates are preparing for the biggest raid ever to kiddnap leader.
