No corpse eating debuff for cannibals, or as its own trait. Raw veggies bonus

Not sure how this works in real life, but I like the idea of a cannibal colony, and now that it's possible to eat corpses since A14, I think there should at least be some people who are not debuffed by it.

I also read this inspirational article, good reading for anyone who hasn't.

Finally, I'm sure there are some people who like eating raw meat from a corpse, for whatever reason. It could be its own trait and unrelated to cannibals. Even if the natural occurence is low, the existence of such a trait would open scenario possilbilities.

Finally (2), there are definitely raw food people IRL, I think this could be reflected by a trait that gives bonus for eating any raw veggies (and possibly meat, not sure how that works out, but sushi and tartar are two examples of popular raw meat dishes.

Cannibals eating raw human corpses will tend to even their mood - they get both buffs and debuffs from it. There's no real reason to eat corpses, as they provide less nutrition than meat. If you don't want to bother with cooking you can set up a paste dispenser. Or just eat raw meat, it's still better than corpses.

Um, have you ever actually had sushi or tartar? It's not just a slab of raw fish or meat...

Anyway, what you mention already exists in the game (sort of). Pawns with the ascetic trait do not get mood debuffs from raw food (meat and vegetarian).

One reason to eat corpses would be the scenario / roleplaying / flavour part.

Another (yes, a real case) is when you can't butcher them. My case was the following:

I had a colonist who was useful for mining and shooting but also constantly in a bad mood and berserking, hurting others. I wanted to keep him alive but away from the others, so I built him his own house next to a plasteel mine, and made a restricted zone that only he was allowed in.

Since he was good at shooting, I figured he could hunt and butcher wild animals.
Problem: For whatever reason, he was incabable of butchering (cooking, I guess?).

I tried manually stockpiling and moving food to him but that was too much micro. So I had him kill wild animals and eat the corpses, that was the least maintenance option for keeping him alive. His mood dropped, but as long as he was alone, I didn't care that he went berserk every 2-3 days. He stayed alive and he did some useful mining in the meantime.

Regarding sushi and Tartar: yes I tried it. My point wasn't that it is more or less a slab of raw meat with some flavoring. My point was that some people like raw food. I didn't know about the ascetic trait, that's perfect but I would like to take it one step further: have them get a positive mood from raw food, not just neutral.
