Hi,

I reported this issue with Rimworld on my Linux box: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=25641.0 - I can't follow up there or on the bug tracker, so I'll make a new thread here as I'd like to diagnose the problem.

The game is fine the first time I run it, but when I run it again the framerate is very low. If I restart X it's fast again.

Is there a way I can get a very verbose log on Linux on what the Unity engine is doing? I'd like to look for differences between <working log> which I can get when I run the program for the first time, and <non-working log> which I can get when running the program again.

Or, any other ideas?

When a bug gets put on Mantis (the official bug tracker), the bug thread is usually locked to prevent unnecessary discussion.  It's fine to discuss it here, though.

On the bug tracker, Tynan had this to say:
QuoteI'm sorry, but this is outside the scope of issues we can or will fix. We have no way to repro this and it's almost certainly something going wrong with the user's machine. Given that killing OTHER non-RimWorld processes is what fixes it, it seems that other processes are probably what's causing it.

I'm not sure how to help you diagnose it any better since I don't have Linux myself, but it does sound like something in your system causing the slowdown.
