I don't think I've ever seen people from past raids return to raid us again after they have escaped from a raid. Is this possible or have they learned their lesson?

Well i tend to remove both legs and arms put pegs on, before i remove a kidney and a lung then let them go, if i knew i could get them back id use bionic eyeballs then remove those too and send him back as an object lesson.

Would be funny to see him hobble back to my colony waving a sight stick at me and shooting his own guys in the back though.

They raid you again. It's easy to notice if you get raided by a colonist's relative; I once had one of my colonist's father raid us twice. (Both times he escaped because he was a sniper and I purposely didn't target him.)

I captured someone once then released them, I saw them later and they were killed in the raid.

This is like being in a remote fishing town in Libera and asking, "Why can't I just pay one of the fishermen $10 to take me back to Los Angeles?"

I sold someone into slavery once and they turned up as a visitor. Awkward.

Hey, I'd say they ended up in a pretty good spot for being sold into slavery.

The game forgets about characters in some cases when there isn't anything noteworthy about them -no relationship, no tales (which I believe will get generated whenever they hurt a colonist or a colonist hurts them, but not really sure), never been a prisoner or anything else.

it might be nice if each raider has a separate number associated with their view of the colony . Like if you kill them during a raid , the next time they will be angry and might not flee . Or if you catch and release them , they might like you more and either leave quicker or be recruited easier than 99% or turn on their friends and help you

Hate to break it to you... They're not coming back after they're killed.

But I do like this idea, I'd liked a bit more personality from the Raiders as a whole. Maybe they hurl insults at you via comms.
Holding hands whilst the walls come tumbling down.

I had a completely useless sheriff called ViTo who kept recurring every once in a while. Each time he raided us he lost a limb and I captured him. He's missing both legs, an arm and an eye, but they keep sending him in with a sniper rifle.

No rest for the staggeringly ugly and abrasive, I guess.
