No clue if this has been posted before but it would be useful to be able to see the soil type information while using the architect menu especially the growing zone tool.

I agree. A simple checkbox enables or disables this view.

It could work showing 100% as green, 140% as dark green, less than 100% (if there is only one value) as yellow and 0% as red.

IMO it should add just a layer of color, not paint the squares totally in those colors.

Serenity

It would also be useful to see the soil type under snow cover

Agreed. Think I requested this a month ago.

Are we talking similar to the "Show Roofs" toggle? If so, that sounds great!

Serenity

I hadn't considered it, but it would be very nice. Some of the surfaces are hard tell apart where they meat. Like gravel and normal soil.

For the snow thing, just seeing the underlying terrain in the statistics in the lower left area would help.

Serenity, I don't know what you're saying. Seeing the terrain under snow has been a thing for as long as I can remember.

Mhh, must have missed that, somehow. No idea how that happened :o Seems pretty obvious. Could have sworn it showed only the snow because I had issues with boreal forest, snow and marshy areas in my base

Right, but you can't see that while you have the architect menus open, like when you are actually trying to make a grow zone.

Oh right, that's it I think. You can see it normally, but when you actually want to build things you have to remember where it was
