Rimworld Constant FPS issue

Hello,

So I've been playing Rimworld for a while and haven't really had any problems since I attempted to use a couple mods from the Steam workshop. I immediately noticed a huge FPS drop and immediately removed all the mods but the slow FPS still remains. The following is what I have done so far:

To keep testing consistent I've been using the tutorial to create a new game and see if the FPS changes after every change and usually don't go any further then 2 mins into any single test.

  • Re-installed Rimword to same location
  • Deleted Rimworld AppData folder and Re-installed into Rimworld
  • Re-installed Rimworld on SSD
  • Performed all Steps posted here regarding anti-virus, poweroff and disabling steam overlay, power saving stuff N/A on desktop(https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=27452.0)
  • Disabled Steam Cloud Saves

Something that may be of note is that when I am in-game the FPS of the game seems to be between 11-15 FPS, however after enabling "Run in background" and clicking outside the window, the FPS counter shoots up to 144 and the game doesn't seem to be lagging. However once I return my mouse into the game it goes back to 11-15 FPS.

Something else that may be off note is in the output_log file there were a couple references to:
(Filename: C:/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/generated/common/runtime/UnityEngineDebugBindings.gen.cpp Line: 37)

That path doesn't exist and I have no idea where its getting it from.

If you need any logs or any other information I'll be happy to provide and I attached a DxDiag dump for computer specs if needed.

That location is one generated at run time, I believe.
Could you upload a copy of the full output_log file as an attachment?

The 'buildslave' path is related to when the code was compiled. Everyone will see that in their log files because it's a message for the Dev. :)

But yes, please post your log file.

I attached the outut_log.txt. It was a new tutorial game that I played for around 5 mins. The frame rate never went over 12 FPS while the mouse was in the window.

Well its not due to error writing, that log is clean.
Skullywag modded to death.
I'd never met an iterator I liked....until Zhentar saved me.
Why Unity5, WHY do you forsake me?

How's the performance when you run Fullscreen instead?

DarkGhost368

The performance is the same full screen or windowed. I just checked to make sure. I tried full screen at 1920x1080 and 5760x1080 but it was the same issue.

The issue may be related to something in NVIDA's Geforce Experience manager software, I'm not sure exactly what it was, I was chasing a theory of that the game "Streaming" bs was somehow messing with my game, so I disabled gamestream and exited NVIDA experience completely and re-opened rimworld and the FPS lag seems to have gone away. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the FPS drop by re-enabling GeForce Experience which is annoying and I am wondering if something was messed up in the settings that got reset when I started messing with it (they use cloud saves to preserve settings).  Anyway, time will tell I suppose.

Edit:
I reproduced it, seems to be the Geforce Experience "Share" option under General when turned on causes this issue to start occurring.
