This makes flower pots look SO BAD. The only advantage is flower pots can be installed where there's no soil.

Keep in mind if these flowers in large enough quantities provide an insane +15 beautiful environment boost, really good for working places like kitchen. Late game it's better to use sculptures though.

wow. But it kinda makes sense. If your bedroom was a flower garden you would think it impressive as well  that is until you got swarmed by bugs. But rimworlders dont seem to mind the bugs

Beauty and wealth (impressiveness) are two different things, remember.  So no, flowers really aren't all that impressive.

I usually use only one very impressive big dormitory.
For this architecture, this floor is just amazing, even in late-game.

Heck, every 7.5 days is just slightly more experience for your growers. Everybody wins! (unless your colony is tight on growers and there's a large food farm that needs tending alongside)
