I think they should add a new way to start

In the game you have the option to start off as a tribe and that paves the way to very cool stuff I am thinking like tribes you should be able to have the option ingrained to run (properly) a intergrated Medieval Rim-world colony that you hear about and add some more varied weapons centered around this time like the Naphtha pots of oil that are thrown and burst into flames, the greatsword and short sword, having longer range than one another, the crossbow ? I don't know how possible it is but maybe someone can clue me in here :D

The pots of oil are probably too similar to molotov cocktails, and the crossbows too similar to greatbows (although perhaps wood+components with a lower cooldown?), to be added separately to the game. However, I am all for making Armor Vests and Military Helmets forging instead of machining items, and adding a Sword+Shield "weapon" into the game for extra protection.

Actually, try the two together. When updated, the first should limit your tech. It definitely limits the AI to medieval tech. Pretty good, but not an actual feature of the base game atm
