Odd behaviour when Visitor dies inside my Colony?

I would just like to check your expectations for the following situation when a Visitor dies while staying in your Colony...

A group of eight regular Visitors arrived on my map, lead by Cobra. They arrived safely and I traded with them to get rid of all my dead man's apparel and a few shoddy weapons.

I noticed that my Doctor was being a little attentive towards one of them when they used the Guest Beds. It turns out that person had advanced Asthma in both lungs so I permitted the use of some Herbal medicine in case it improved relations with them.

Next thing, there was puke all over my dining room so I had someone clean that up. Cobra had been spewing everywhere.

At night, I saw Cobra had wandered outside and was chain chugging beers, one after the other. They staggered back into the dining room and threw up again. I thought I would leave them there until the morning and scrape the dried puke off them when everyone else got up. I checked and saw they had an alcohol addiction, were overdosing on alcohol, were unconscious and suffering weak tolerance to alcohol.

Suddenly Cobra fell over and the living room filled up with all the goods from the Visitor Caravan. There was the corpse of Cobra, all the dead man's apparel I had sold, all the other small items they were carrying and some money. Of course the rest of the Visitors immediately got up and left. I got the (-5) blame for the incident.

Now here is the oddity. None of the remaining seven visitors made any attempt to collect the Caravan's goods or tried to take Cobra's body to an available burial site or stockpile. Is that expected? They left all the money, goods and corpse for me.

Should I use a proper Sarcophagus rather than a Grave to store Cobra? Will it help relations in the future if I make that effort?

Fun story! Right now it's as expected, though.

It won't make any difference. Cobra is now 100% out of the relations game.

AFAIK, treating pawns with your own medicine also makes no difference with relations.

I like how they saw the naked guy with no food and said, "what he needs is an SMG."

The game really needs to handle the blame of damage a little better/more consistently...and also stop sending caravans pacing back and forth in a maze of traps that's obviously off the path of any route into a base to such an extent that your own pawns never go there except to rearm or haul.

It is interesting to hear how the game handles these situations. Certainly from a RP perspective my Colony did the right thing (along with healing and releasing all unwanted Prisoners without putting them through surgery). I will probably put up a Sarcophagus in any case.

All I can say is thank goodness it wasn't the bulk goods trader that died or else we would still be knee deep in Muffalo pelts or something! We ended up better off by about 40 spliffs and beers.
