Humans and animals should have different stats, what can be improved by breeding and by dowing something. it should also affect traits. Like beutiful trait can be get offspring and also ugly and other genetical traits.

Animals should also get stat boosts by doing something, like husky who have hauled longtime can haul more, or if he is fighting or guard dog who hunt ot attack enemys hes damage can improve also bodyparts can go stronger by training and weaker by getting often injured.

Also animalse should also have some traits, like calm, restless and bloodthirsty, productive, bulky and so on so some animals are harder to train certain job some are easier, stats and age should also influence their price,  other traders woulnt want to buy husky who is already 12-13 years old and are soon to die, or buy cow whos milk production is reduced by bad genetics or injury.

Human genetics should work the similar way so player can work harder to manage colony or get randomness on game and risking genetical degrading.

Heh. "Genetical."

I'm a fan of genetics, but I can't say how well I think they would fit in to the game, if I'm being totally honest. That's just me, though.

But I like the idea for animal Traits.

That would make them more like pawns in that the may contribute in different ways to the colony, and less like cannon fodder and haulbots.

For the genetics part, I think it would not be to far off to say that the traits for
the offspring could be a mixup of the parents traits.
Maxim 1   : Pillage, then burn
Maxim 37 : There is no overkill. There is only open fire and reload.
Rule 34 of Rimworld :There is a mod for that.

also to add, my breeding list and this discussion, would be cool if you can breed wildness out from animals and in few generation Artic wolf can be nice safe pet and also bears and megacrestures.

Would be cool to see genetic engineered/modified creatures in the game. Or hybrids. I'm a fan of these things.
