Did something get changed? sometimes my guys will walk outside to the "tent" (pagoda, whatever) and eat at a table ... other times they will just scarf it down on the floor and get mad about it ...

In my testing, most of the time it seems to be related to where their hunger bar currently is if its anything below the first notch, they eat "off of the floor" but it dosnt always happen (who seriously does that? if i have to eat without a table i just sit down and put the plate in my lap ... ) and im aware of the 25 cell change, but theres no way in hell thats more than 15 cells ...

I do have a few mods, but nothing that directly interacts with how colonists choose to do things ... apart from taking a dump being used as an excuse to get laid then go for a dump ...

I've moved this to GD (from suggestions) as I can't see anything in the OP that is a suggestion.

This could be a bug, in which case it would help if you posted a save game where this issue can be reliably reproduced. Having said that this might be WAD as it is 44C outside, plus there's a heat wave going on (according to your screenshot), so this might well be WAD. Or at least I wouldn't fancy eating outside given those conditions. (but as I said, if you can post a save where this behaviour can be reproduced then that would help determine whether this is WAD or a bug, but available info suggests WAD due to outside conditions).

I noticed something similar:
In my few days game I have the campfire and the food inside the base and table and chairs just few cells away, but outside.
Most of the times colonists grab their meals and go outside to sit at the table and eat, but occasionally they just eat it standing in the room and get the penalty mood.
My first assumption is because of the temperature outside being worst than inside, could not do specific test btw


PS title of treads should tell a little more instead of trying to be a catchy title for no reason
