My new colony was attacked by a pack of manhunting cats.  Lots of mewling and hissing ensued.

my caravan was ambushed by mahunter cats.

I've gotten 3 manhunter events in A17 so far...none of them "traditional" - chickens, panthers, and the caravan cat ambush.  While the panther one chopped a leg off of a colonist, the chicken one was actually the hardest to deal with.  My shooters and turrets seemed completely incapable of hitting them.

Your best defense there is probably a trigger-happy jogger with an incendiary launcher...  Or hiding inside since the chickens won't peck the doors down very quickly.

I got a pack of chickens recently. That was hilarious.

this happened early...no trigger happy AND no fancy weapons...just whatever i scrounged.  Plus i now have a thriving chicken farm that auto-slaughters thanks to fluffy's manager.  i managed to save 3 1-legged chickens to get it started.

Randy went on a Yorkie kick for 3 packs in a row, but my colony was so broke there were never more than two of 'em at once... and I never had to leave my compound, so they just wandered back and forth until they were eaten by the local predators; usually fennec foxes.

Oh, then he sent iguanas a few times.
