I'm currently trying to build large buildings for hydroponics to produce rice throughout the year. To help insulate the building and keep the temperature stable, I'm constructing stone walls throughout. However, I was wondering how much, if at all, does flooring contribute to improving insulation? Spending all this time making limestone blocks is tedious and I was hoping I could just build wooden flooring without sacrificing too much. I'm not looking to build a beautiful room, so do I even need flooring to help insulate from the cold?

Floors do not add any insulation value but you will want them for other reasons when you can afford to put them down. They make room cleaner, faster to work in/walk in, better looking (happier) and so floors are always good. You will also want to double wall as much of your base as possible, especially your freezer, but also your hydroponics to conserve energy/power.
