Escape pod with same Spacer twice. Déjà vu?

I'm not sure if this is a bug. Story telling wise, one could say it is possible.

Rozalina crash landed on an escape pod with my first season, I rescued her but she started to leave so I took her prisoner but she managed to escape the map. Two seasons later, she crash lands AGAIN in another escape pod.

Looks like she left my colony for the outlanders factions, they launched with her...but the space odyssey failed and back to the same planet. Déjà vu?

Perhaps she irritated someone, and was fired off in a drop pod?

The files have limited sources and when a pawn lives somewhere, the pawn will usually appear in your map regardless if you travel halfway around the world. Once I had a spacer who crash landed on an escape pod who I rescued and he left then I found him in ancient ruins of enemy's outpost.

Also, I've just had the same thing happen recently. I had a weak pawn landed and needed rescue. It was a father of one of my colonists and I didn't want morale debuff so I rescued, patched him up and he left. Then he crashed again. Actually I needed silvers so I sold him for luciferium. The colonist got "Loved one sold" though, but worth it. Hope he won't crash again.

1. It was a father of the same colonist and the colonist didn't have 2 fathers.
2. After the second crash the pawn still had patched up wounds from the first crash. The same happened in the ancient ruins.

I never had it that bad with Spacers, but I think the issue with the family member overkill will be adressed in A18

I like to pretend that the refugees and escape pods are pawns from other players. So, maybe when they left you, they got in someone else's ship and crashed again or were captured by pirates in a raid.

Well... pawn that leave the map still alive somehow.

There was a time I capture prisoner from pirate raider. His name is Stone. He's smokeleaf addict with asthma lung. I found him useless to my colony but I don't want to harvest his organ, sell him to slavery or freely release him from what he has done. So, I order my doctor pawn to saw his leg off, put on the peg leg, then saw off his peg leg and put another peg leg. The loop keep on till I got bored with him my doctor reach level 15.

I release him off with only 1 right peg leg but forgot to attach his left peg leg. Stone crawl his way off to the edge of the map. He took a very long time that he's starving half way so I have to kill some rat nearby for him to eat its corpse (I'm a good man right?). He finally reach the map edge and exit our sweet haven the 2nd day after his release.

A long time later, My colonist harvest a lot of devilstand from the field. The most social level pawn decide to form caravan with 2 muffalos to take the goods to sale at nearby town. The caravan got treaty message right after leaving the colony for 2 tile away. The message said "A Pirate from the razor want your cloth (My colonist wear it), some devilstand, and a muffalo or else they will attack".
Since the caravan it too close to my colony, I can send reinforcement just in time anyway. So, I fight them and I got to be surprise.

It's him Stone! The pegleg bandit with asthma lungs. He got 1 wooden club and try to crawl to my pawn to attack. He got knock out by a muffalo I use as pack animal though. I decide to create another caravan from my colony to the ambush spot to build a small cottage and save his life (And the devilstand caravan can continue their journey too). After he able to walk around, I capture and bring him back to colony again to train our new doctor.

Is Stone still an addict ?
If he is not, get him some new lungs and recruit him. If a pawn ever earned that right it's him.


I thought about why those things never happen to me.
I tend to recruit any halfway decent pawn and release the attackers I don't like healed and unharmed ( except I have not researched bionics yet, and they damaged one of my own .. )

Every Spacer that comes to my map either gets recruited or dies. Only in the rarest cases a spacer manages to leave my map in one piece ..
