Right Clicking pawn portrait at top opens world map, not center on pawn as up .18, how do i fix this?

Calahan

Right-clicking on a Pawn in the colonist bar has opened the world map since the world map was introduced in A16. There has been no change to this in either A17 or B18. If you want to centre on a Pawn then you can do so by doubling-clicking (not right-clicking) on the Pawn in the colonist bar.

If you absolutely must have right-clicking on a Pawn in the colonist bar to centre on the Pawn, then you either need to mod this functionality in yourself, or find a mod that does so (note I am assuming it is possible to mod this, but I do not personally know enough about RimWorld modding to know for sure).

Seeing as how this is not a support issue I will move this to general discussion.

Really? my client has been bugged super long because my .17 and .16 would center and follow on right click :(

Calahan

Well I checked the DRM-free version of A16, A17a, A17b, B18 and they all work as I described. So I honestly don't have an explanation for you. And I don't see how the Steam version would have different mouse functions than the DRM-free version.

What operating system are you using? As there have been a few bug reports of a change in some mouse controls with A18/B18 and Linux:

So if you are using Linux then maybe this issue is connected with those issues linked above. If so then this is likely a bug and I will move this thread to the bugs forum for the devs to address. Although if you are not using Linux then I'm afraid I don't have any answers for you (although maybe others in the community will).

Since Rimworld vanilia NEVER got a following pawn or animal function,

Mod "Follow me"
Features:
Alternatively, you can right click colonists in the Colonist Bar on top of the screen to toggle following.

Thanks, belgord!

Thanks for the input Canute. That Follow Me mod certainly matches the functionality the OP described.

@ Nezikim - It looks like Canute has provided you with your answer. (and guess the first thing I should have asked you was do you use mods or not, as in hindsight I could have saved myself some time tracking down those bug threads. Hey ho).
