I can't seem to find my character anymore..

Is this functionality currently offline? Is there a way to search for him in a flat file that is embedded somewhere? I used to be able to put "Wissa" in the choose colonists list at the beginning

Perhaps I missed something... putting the character's last name in the options area, allows the character to appear in game randomly rather than start with the character? Thanks

Nothing has changed. The list in the options menu just increases the probability that a character will appear.

Something is up ... I used to almost always (if not always) put in "Wissa" and get the character as part of my original 3.  Now, he never shows up. At all. I'm wondering if there is a known bug or something.. can anyone else put in "Wissa" and tell me if any character with that last name shows up? Thanks

I can confirm that Wissa the cadet is still in the database.

So I'm definitely sounding like a broken record here, but I'm obviously missing something ...

I reinstalled the game. I deleted save game files and reinstalled the game. I reinstalled on a completely seperate PC that has never had rimworld, and I'm still unable to get "Wissa" or any other colonist as one of my initial 3 by putting their names in those fields, after you click on the "Options" button.

Previously, I would put "Wissa" or whomever, and they would show up in the initial 3 colonists.  What am I missing guys? I know I can be thick at times... but something is completely blind-siding me here.

Again, I apologise for asking what may be clear, but I just remember clearly being able to dictate my starting colonists, should I want.

Let me see if there's a bug.

Took me remarkably long time to figure this out, but - your backstory categories are set to only use Traveler. This means you can't spawn as a starting colonists since they spawn from the Civil group. You'd appear as a traveler, though. I set you to include Civil and you appeared in the starting 3. I'll fix it permanently for you.
