Maybe an option to have it laced with penoxycycline with a good enough medic.
Also have the Penox' make it taste worse  :D
Maybe lace it with wake up or go juice with slight movement and consciousness buff but risk of addiction and also a bad taste.

This is my current colony. I'm playing on normal yes, but I have no idea what to expect out of 1.0 so I'm doing a full playthrough before cranking the difficulty up.

as you can see I haven't even solved this guys -11 mood debuff from clothing and he's still incredibly happy, so are the rest of them.
Some sort of psychic wave has swept over the landscape. Your colonists are okay, but...

It seems many of the Centipedes in the area have been driven insane.

I love nutrient paste. Sure it's hardly exciting but in the early game on a hard biome when you are desperately eking out an existence day-to-day, having something that provides good nutrition from minimal resources without giving anyone food poisoning is a godsend. I had a colony that went several years on paste because the growth season was too short for anything substantial to grow and I hate micro-ing hunters. That being said, colonist's moods are usually the last thing on my mind - being happy is a luxury, not a necessity.
