There is none. However, creativity says that if you set the priority to lowest, it's probably the closest thing to consistent trading depot if you make sure other stockpiles are full. Also keep other stockpile small in area and not in beacon.

Sounds to me like a feature  that tynan should consider adding...
So dwarf fortress in space eh?
I love it.
I love it so much.
Please keep it that way.

The problem with setting one stockpile to low is, that if the "normal" stockpile isn't full they start bringing stuff from the low stockpile to the normal-stockpile - even if its completly unnecessary... So I usually prefer to have a limited amount of trading-stockpile (30 fields) and set those to prioritized - if a traiding ship comes around I usually sell most of the fields and since I have waay too much food anyway it doesn't matter where it is too much - but that way they don't run around stupidly trying to make it right...

its a bit of a quick fix, but you could mark the stuff in that stockpile as forbidden?

Tynan

Just set the stockpile you want filled to high priority. If you want a certain set of items, make several stockpiles that accept individual things. E.g. 9 squares of critical priority accepting only silver, 6 squares for potatoes, etc.

Yeah thats sort of the way I am doing it now using it in an overflow capacity say beacons shaped stockpile worth of potatoes a decent distance away for trading then just letting the rest overflow into my outposts deep storage which is a second stockpile with slightly lower priority closer to outposts mess. It might be my imagination but they seem to go to the secondary due to proximity. quick question would there be interest in a mod that adds this facility I am really enjoying the game and would love to contribute to the budding mod community but I would rather put my time into other ideas if there is no demand for this.
