Implement Caravan visit to empty tiles

So I thought it was a bug that you couldn't visit empty tiles, I mean I was 100% sure that something that obvious would be implemented considering the big map, and the fact that you will eventually run out of resources so you can head out to other tiles and mine alternatively. And yes I know that setting max colonies to more than 1 method can be used as an annoying alternative compared to a simple visit map function.

So I think that this really needs to have that visit option implemented rather than using an alternative setting or a mod. Otherwise what you have is essentially 50-60% of the whole map being useless or a placeholder for missions if by chance you even get any. How is someone suppose to get resources if their base has been exhausted of these resources? It shouldn't be relied on RNG (stuff falling from  sky), traders (what if you don't have the money?) or mods which cause more problems to your game.

If you could just visit a tile, mine it out, then leave and have it be completely refreshed, balance would be completely destroyed, because you could visit a tile bordering your colony, quickly mine everything out and drag it back to your main colony, leave, then visit the same tile and mine out the freshly generated resources. And if the map stayed loaded in memory, it would be no different than the current system of having multiple colonies.

Not sure if you know this, either, but you can abandon a colony. It makes that tile permanently inaccessible, and anything you left behind will get deleted, but it lets you place a new colony.

The long range mineral scanner will drop pick axes on 'high resource areas' you can visit those tiles clean it out and then it removes itself, so you can still keep the one base situation.
There's a fine line between popping in to do a bit of mining and setting up a base :P
also if it remembered those tiles you popped in to visit it would take alot to remember, alot of cpu at the end of the day, otherwise as Angelof9 mentioned, you could just pop into the next door tile, over and over.
