How do you update Rimworld without having Steam?

Hi.
Was wondering if there was some way to update the base game of Rimworld without having Steam installed.
It would be so nice if there was an actual update button in the option menu.
I don't use Steam, and don't want to have to install it. Any help in this little matter would be most appreciated.

what is wrong with the common way ?
Use your link to download the latest version.
Open the archive with your archive tool and unzip into your existing installation, just overwrite anything.
But i recommend to delete the 2 folder ...._Data and Data first.

Alternativ unzip it into a new folder and move (cut&paste not copy&paste, it is faster) your mods to that new installation.
Your safegames are normaly at a different position and not at the installation.
