So i just went to move my rimworld install onto an SSD and discovered my installed was 92GB...
Figured it was just cos of all the mods i use but decided to double check.

my output_log.txt is 91.7GB....
Is this normal? Can i delete this file? it's just the error dump file right? i assume it's not auto-cleared?

Yes it's safe to delete. It seems that your log was created and last modified in 2019. Nowadays there are limits to logspam, and the file gets overwritten each time RimWorld is launched.

Got a similar issue - the game will throw an error (the usual Windows 'do you want to force quit or wait...?' pop up and if I don't force quite it fills my drive with a file called 'Player-prev'. If I restart the game it will eventually delete the file but it hit over 140Gb - there are no reported confilcts with the mods I have installed and active - any ideas?

Player.log are the latest logfile and get newly created at each Rimworld start.
The old Player.log get renamed into Player-prev.log.
When your logfile become that big is the fault of one or mods. because of their debug messages.
The file becomes bigger and bigger depend how long you play with that modlist.

Check the messages ingame at the log window (you need to enable developer mode then the top left icon) and maybe you get a clue about the mod.
Then ask the mod author to remove that spam.
