[1.3] Mac Version 2019.4.26f1 - Placing furniture slows the game to 1 FPS

Starting a new colony (no mods), it runs fine until I place a furniture blueprint. Then my computer slows down so much I can't do anything but force quit the game.

Trying to play in an existing colony from 1.2, it's immediately unplayably slow. The beds that I built in 1.2 are invisible in 1.3.

Structure blueprints and crafting and sleeping spots don't affect the speed, but they are invisible in the game. Any furniture or production blueprint will cause it to slow down. Sometimes the blueprints are invisible, for example 2x1 tables. As soon as the blueprint is deleted, it runs normal again.

On macOS version 10.13.6.
