Questionable Rimworld internet connections?

I just noticed that Rimworld is making UDP connections across the world. South America, Africa, East Asia etc. Considering that I have no mods installed or anything I was wondering what was going on. If this is legitimate traffic for CDNs, or part of Steam or something that's fine, but I just want to understand where my computer is connecting and why.
