Event ticker tape

Minor playability enhancement:  Instead of having mail messages pop up on the side, which I often miss since my attention if focused elsewhere on the screen, how about having a "ticker tape" located across the top of the screen?

Related, I like being able to hover over a mail message, but having to move to mid-screen to release it is annoying.  Again, little thing.

BTW - playing at 1920 x 1080.

Right click on the mail deletes it without opening.
