Workers stuck with food in there hands can not do anything, if i bring them into some cryopod they disappear but the warning still exist.

i have two savegames before and after. before i send my people out to collect the food-rations and after this action.
in the bug savegame i canceled the collecting because its not good for their feelings to run out and eat in the wild. two of my people got stuck. Eli and Tara. Eli disappeared in the cryopod but the cryopod says its empty and the warning shows the last position of Eli. Tara sit on the table wit food in their hand and become very hungry.

Some questions:

1. Can you make it happen on demand?

2. Did you have any mods installed at the time?

3. Do you have any screenshots of the afflicted colonists?

4. Not very important, but what operating system do you have?

Thanks!

1 no
2 yes
3 no
4 windows, also seen in a7 and reported, by tynan said that the mods prevented him from trying to sort it out

Ah, yes. Sadly any bugs with mods are not to be solved by Tynan as they are not part of RimWorld's code. :(

However, the creator(s) of the mod(s) that you have might be able to fix the problems.

I've had this bug happen a few times as well, not using any mods

Eventually they just go crazy, and I arrest them and recruit them again, kind of a pain but it seems to be what you have to do

Darcion

i did not use any mod and if you load my savegame you can see the problems.

1. maybe with the savegame before
2. no
3. not yet
4. win7 64bit

Thanks for the info everyone! This bug should be brought to attention fairly soon.

However, if anyone can reliably make it happen on demand and give a list of the steps to do so, that would certainly help the process.

try this one:

- make a rectangular room (like 5x4) with one door on the northern wall and assign the whole room as (prepared) food storage. the door should connect to another "indoors" area
- assign the cooking stoves to prepare enough food to fill the storage completely
- do not build any chairs or tables or other food storages

Excellent! Thank you!

Worked perfectly. :D
