I would love there to be a method for growing the colony without arresting visitors.  Gifts?  Food? Beer?

I can see gifts food and beer helping already arrested colonists, but you gotta understand that your colony is a random building in the middle of no where with off-worlders armed to the teeth.

Essentially your colony is a best - worst case scenario and no one without a few bullet holes is going to willingly join a struggle for everyday food clothes and shelter.

Why would you? When the world of raiding is so much more fun!
