It's now possible to hold doors open. Autodoors will remote open/close, while simple doors will be left open when a colonist passes. Enemies and animals can pass through held-open doors, and anyone can shoot through held-open doors

Yay! Now we can finally have easier ways to build traps and murder rooms. Raiders walk in, the exit doors slam shut behind them, and the doors to the incinerator rooms open on either side. Within seconds the temperature jumps to 600 degrees. Muah ha ha ha.

Now we just need a way to safely secure animals so we can fill the hallways with psychotic cobras to release on unsuspecting guests.

That's... that's an amazing idea for a trap! Much better than dropping a roof on their head through turrets, all you need is a granite trap chamber and some wood. Instant baked raiders, just add a molotov!

Alpha 11 might see a massive drop in killbox use if it stays like this...

Im so modding a gun or something that send anything it hits pyscho just so i can kill my enemies with rabid squirrels FINALLY YOU SHALL FEEL MY PAIN!
Skullywag modded to death.
I'd never met an iterator I liked....until Zhentar saved me.
Why Unity5, WHY do you forsake me?

Awesome!
Raiders, please rub some salt and pepper on your skin and step into this soot-blackened room.
Diner is about to be served.

Right now I expect someone to say "It's possible in Dwarf Fortress"
"Sam Starfall joined your colony"
"Sam Starfall left your colony with all your valuable"

This is also a great idea.
Can animals eat out of hoppers? Feeding them could work that way.
Other than that, I don't think they need all that much.

Boboid

Doesn't matter if animals can eat out of hoppers, you'd need a 1-way food delivery system and hoppers can be moved over.

You'd also need pre-psychotic animals since you can't trigger them yourself, quite an elaborate trap given the effect all things considered :P
A prison yard is certainly a slightly more elegant solution to Cabin Fever than mine...

I just chop their legs off... legless prisoners don't suffer cabin fever

I didn't know hoppers can be moved over, damn.
I never use em for some reason.

Don't cobra's attack whoever happens to be close?
I haven't played enough jungle to know.

These traps are not built for effect but for roleplaying.

Oh you can, you just need to shoot them until they go berserk. I'm not sure if animals eat when psychotic, though.

You could exploit the 'things pop tho walls them they are created if there is no room for them on the ground bug, and build a butchers tabs against the wall with the cobars on the other side and then put a bunch of walls in the drop spaces for it. This would cause the meat that's created to pop up in the room with the cobras.
