Prisoner Stats/backstory changing after capture

This has been one of those things I think is happening, from I will capture some raiders, throw them into the prison, check their stats and health, decide which ones to keep, and which ones I don't want, and either release them, or harvest them for parts.  Some are long term projects to recruit, but worth it.

Game plays on, get the message new recruit, go to set up the work orders, and damn, why did I keep this guy, that can't do violence, cooking, cleaning.... That is not what I keep.  Are the back stories and stats changing on the prisoners? Or am I suffering from old age syndrome?

Any information from the community would be helpful. I don't think I have lost my mind on this.

Another person, savaze, has posted about it in passing in the bug forum.

I'm also running into a problem when pirate merchants show up. If I talk to them all my prisoner options for each prisoner is reset. It happens about 50% of the time.

I am posting this here, as I have no evidence it is a real bug.

Perception is reality, but is not always the truth.

I think maybe you should post it on bugs, but did you think about that the bad prisoners options were reset when you talked to a slave trader, and you accidentally kept one of them and set it to recruit.
Rimworld: A game where you're kept as entertainment for thousand year old robots, and you just don't know it yet.
Any mod requests?

It is not a verified bug, no steps to reproduce, and not sure when it is happening yet. I have also seen a escapee change from a conceptual artist to a diplomat, which made that colonist incapable of violence.

I posted here to get a larger possible audience, to help, as not everyone reads or posts in the bugs section.

I think there is a bug when transferring prisoners from one room to another (being carried) that is resetting the prisoner tab. Also has anyone noticed incapacitated prisoners (healthy) are not receiving the "convinced by warden" buff when trying to recruit? I am not sure if wardens don't talk to them or if the buff is just not applying.

Thanks for the headsup.
I'm going to screenshot my 4 prisoners and check once I recruit them.
I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. StorymasterQ

I read on another thread that incapacitated (missing leg) prisoners cannot be recruited, so it would make sense the buff would not be applied. Give them a leg up, then talk to them about joining the team... =]

Really? Never knew.. We need the prisoner beatings option back! "How about you join us and then we'll give you a leg?"
