Tool Cabinets?

So, heya.

a bit confused about tool cabinets...

1) with which benches exactly do they work? with butcher tables and cook stoves too?

2) it sais one bench can be connected to 2 toolboxes... but it seems you can have several benches connected to the same toolbox? or not?

1. When you're placing a tool cabinet near work benches, there are lines from work benches to the cabinet which give you a clue. If there's no line, it's not helping. Either way, it's not a terrible error to make an extra tool cabinet because you can uninstall them!

2. One work bench can be linked to two tool cabinets. One tool cabinet can be linked to several work benches.
Similarly, you can install 4 hospital beds around 1 vitals monitor. You can uninstall vitals monitors too. My hospital has 6 beds, 2 monitors.

1. If you already have a tool cabinet somewhere it's very easy to check if a workbench can use tool cabinets, simply grab the blueprint from the architect tab and bring it within 2-3 tiles from the already existing tool cabinet, if it can benefit from a tool cabinet a line will appear between the cabinet and the workbench' blueprint, even if you can't actually place the blueprint there.

2. Any number of workbenches within the range of the tool cabinet gain it's benefit, so if you get a bit crafty you can fit quite a few workbenches with only a few tool cabinets. Currently I have about 13 workbenches supported by 3 tool cabinets all benches getting their max bonus, probably not the most efficient design, but hey with MD2 installed it's not like I have a shortage of steel.

Cook stove does not benefit from the tool cabinet. Butcher table does.
Smelter does not benefit from the tool cabinet.

Work benches only benefit from a max of two tool cabinets. A tool cabinet can connect to as many work benches as are in the radius range, of 6 tiles, not blocked by a wall or another tool bench. Line of sight.
