Frame Drop

So, eventually when you make your base real big, and mean, really big, frames begin to drop for me. Is this normal for everyone? I have a pretty good computer. Just a quick question, I want to go back to paying my world, but the frames are just too bad.

Yes the game isnt optimized yet and only runs on one core basicly.
